Bowling Fundraiser Benefits Covenant House

On Friday February 12, the Minority Student Services office at Central Michigan University hosted a bowling fundraiser on behalf of Covenant House. The event entitled “Soul Bowl” is an event celebrated annually during Black History Month; people can enjoy cosmic bowling, food and fun while supporting a cause. The MSS office chose Covenant House as the charity to give to after learning of the services we provide to homeless youth and the impact we have on the community. “We donate to an organization that has excelled in giving back to the community,” said Lester Booker, Jr.

Love Was In the Air: Valentine's Weekend Open House

During Valentines weekend 2010, Covenant House Michigan invited the community to their campus for an open house. Community members, church groups, and students of all ages, came together to spend the day learning about Covenant House and its programs. The open house included stories from residents, a tour of both our Crisis and Rights of Passage living facilities, a chance to join the outreach team, as well as an opportunity to do volunteer work.
