The Crisis Center is a 45-bed facility that is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week providing around-the-clock help to homeless young adults ages 18-22. Youth may stay 1 day up to 3 months depending on their individual needs. They are given immediate short-term help including food, clothing, a warm bed and, most importantly, unconditional love.
Our kids have many unmet needs. Many times they yearn for a listening ear, motivational words and the reassurance that someone is here to watch over them. We want them to build upon their strengths and prepare for a successful independent future; thus, we provide a network of resources to point them in the right direction.

Crisis Center staff work with each young person to design a plan for them that links them to the services offered at the CHM Community Service Centers and the Job Development Center to meet their personal, educational and employment needs while reconnecting them to their families and their communities.
Each year close to 400 young people receive food, shelter and a safe place to stay. Since opening, the Crisis Center has served more than 1,700 different youth.
