Where?

Covenant House Michigan (Chapel)

Why?

Artists from The Juilliard School are coming to Detroit to perform! As part of their Detroit Arts Immersion program, they will be performing at various locations throughout the city, including Covenant House Michigan. During the week of the 21st, these students will also be conducting workshops with the youth of CHM focusing on an area in art, either dancing, acting, or music. These performers want to share their gifts and make a positive impact on the creative spirits of Detroiters. The goal of their program is to showcase the power of the arts as a universal tool for initiating change – the kind of change Detroit needs.

The performance is in partnership with the Young Associates of Heidelberg (YAH), a group of young adults who bring creativity to Detroit by developing and implementing the projects and programs of The Heidelberg Project.

Juilliard performers include:
Breanna O'Mara, dancer
Allison Job, musician
Brittanie Brown, dancer
Mark Junek, actor
Also featuring Detroit's own visual artist Phil Simpson

Come join the Covenant House Community for what is sure to be an engaging and inspiring event!
