Candlelight Vigil 2008

Where?CHM Main Campus
2959 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Detroit, MI 48208
(313) 463-2000
Join us on our main campus as we light candles of hope for the estimated 5,000+ youth who wander the streets any given night searching for a place to stay.
During the vigil, which coincides with National Homeless Awareness Week, we offer prayers for youth who have died on the streets, those struggling to survive and those who have found their way to Covenant House. We listen to testimonies from our residents, sing songs and take a stance to advocate for kids.
Many local schools, churches, and various organizations collect hats and gloves, hygiene items and monetary donations to support Covenant House Michigan during homeless awareness week.
For more information about the Vigil and ways you can get involved to help homeless kids, call 313-463-2005 or e-mail us.

See you there!
I have been to each of the last four vigils. It's so touching to meet the kids and hear their stories first-hand.
