About Bill Matthews:

Bill Matthews is a seasoned leader in public accounting and business consulting. During his tenure at Plante & Moran he served as Client Service Partner, Administrative Partner, Regional Managing Partner, and Firm Managing Partner.

Bill graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and Past Chairman and Board of Governors of The American Group of Certified Public Accountants.

He is active in the community and has served on the Board of Trustees for Brighton Hospital and continues as a Trustee Emeritus for the hospital, the Detroit Economic Club Board of Directors, and as a member of the Athena Society.

Currently Bill serves as a member of the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board, The Restore Foundation, the Catholic Central High School’s Alumni Board, and the Board of Trustees for the Citizens Research Council of Michigan.

Bill retired from Plante and Moran in May 2002. He and his wife, Peggy, reside in West Bloomfield. They currently enjoy traveling and spending time with their four children and eight grandchildren.
