U of D Mercy Conquers the Closet

I am extremely grateful for the University of Detroit Mercy and the 11 individuals they sent to volunteer on our main campus. The group was very helpful as they washed windows and organized our clothing closet.

The transition between volunteer coordinators took its toll on the clothing closet. However, the students were up to the challenge and did a wonderful job. I no longer have to climb over bags of clothing and fallen hangers to cross the room. Our residents appreciate being able to find the items they need with ease instead of having to waste their time digging through bags to find a shirt or pair of shoes.

The Leadership Institute at U of DM set up the service day event as a part of freshmen orientation. CHM is honored that the university chose our organization to be a part of this event. I truly enjoyed meeting their volunteers and speaking with them.

CHM thanks them and we hope they come back again!
