One Volunteer, One GIANT Heart

CHM is blessed to have many wonderful volunteers and donors. Penny Lasky is one of those wonderful individuals with a GIANT heart. Mrs. Lasky is always on the look out for items to help improve the lives of our residents. Mr. and Mrs. Lasky bring their donations, along with donations their friends have collected quite frequently.

Recently, I had a young man who needed kakis to wear to school. We searched our clothing closet but could not find his size. I went back to my office discouraged because I wanted this young man to have the items he needed for school. As I walked in my office, I noticed three bags of donations Mrs. Lasky and her husband had brought, their second trip in a week. I looked in the bag and noticed two pairs of kakis… they were just the right size.

God provides, and he has given CHM wonderful individuals such as Mrs. Lasky. She spreads the word of CHM to friends, family and anyone else who will listen. Mrs. Lasky is a true advocate for CHM. We are blessed to have her fighting for the youth of Michigan.
