I have saved up almost $800!

Wow I am so happy! I have saved $800 from working at McDonalds. I am saving and saving and eventually will have enough money to move into an apartment.

I was part of a girls group today and I got a prize, except it was nail polish and I don't wear nail polish so I traded with another girl. Now I have a necklace. I also talked to a new girl about living at Covenant House. I told her not to try and fix people here. That's why they have social workers. A lot of people want to give other people advice, but it may not be the right advice. So I leave it up to the professionals.

I also told her that the brochures make it look like this place is always happy. And it's not always sunshine and pony rides. A lot of people have issues here so sometimes they get into argument or fights. I think it has a lot to do with what happened to them before they came here. Some people who come have more messed up lives than others. You just got to focus on your goals and realize that you can only control yourself. I hopes she liked my advice. She seems like a really nice girl!

Anyway, I have to go get dinner in a few so talk to ya later.
