I found a place that cares

During my first time at the Crisis Center, I met this really great guy. He respects me and loves me and he doesn't treat me different because of my disabilities. A group of us decided to moved out together.

The staff told us it wasn't the best idea. They said we should save up more money and only move out if it was a stable situation. Thinking back, all of us were coming from a shelter and we really shouldn't have moved out together.

So my boyfriend and I came back to Covenant House to start over. Eventually we'll move out and hopefully get married, but not until we save up enough money. I just got a job at McDonalds and I'm so excited.

I love being here. People love and support me and want what's best for me.
