Covenant House Michigan Website Wins "Non-Profit Standard of Excellence" Award

On September 16, the Web Marketing Association announced winners of its 2009 WebAwards competition. We are pleased to report that CHM's website was recognized with a "Non-Profit Standard of Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development!"

CovenantHouseMI.org was rated across seven categories, each on a 10-point scale, and we scored a very respectable 59. Our score was well above average in the non-profit category (49) as well as the overall average (52) of more than 2000 competing websites.

Among the judges' positive remarks:

• Image on homepage is great. Grabs your attention. This site is very well done.
• Good use of social media.
• Excellent initiative on a budget that is surely a small fraction of what others spend. Congratulations for making it so clear for your users.

Covenant House Marketing and Development staff would like to extend this recognition to all CHM donors, volunteers, and advocates. Maintaining and enhancing our website is crucial to our mission in this day and age, and it is very rewarding to be recognized for our efforts. Yet, we know it wouldn't be feasible without your time, money, and prayers.
